Top hiking destination, quite good cuisine

Super nice cabin with a great view!

Delicious food, friendly staff and a beautiful view. Whether on hikes or mountain bike tours - a detour to the Rappenecker hut is highly recommended.

Beautifully situated.

Already been there several times. Always good as a destination for a Moutainbiketour. The new operators are super nice and take great care of their guests. Even on the day of rest, I got something to drink. I found that more than attentive. Should not be the rule. Rest day is closed.

Short stop before continuing to the summit and the beginning of the path that goes down to Kappel, nice place, available and friendly, but I was there for the trails and to do mtb :-)

Very cozy cottage with charm. Friendly hostess. Enjoy your meal. Great events.

My hiking recommendation for families with run-happy children: ascent with the Schauinslandbahn, hike to the Rappenecker hut, roast potatoes with Bibiliskäs, relaxing in one of the sun chairs, descent to Kirchzarten or Geroldstal, back to Freiburg.

Food really delicious drink normal prices normal staff really nice great trails very nice to sit inside or outside both great outside there are also beach chairs for wet relief then a lot of fun

Great hut without you visitors even more contemplative and with a larger selection of cakes.

Nice hut - was unfortunately closed

Was on April 13, 2019 with a group of 10 mountain bikers there ... Great service, excellent food and Vesper (also for veggies), free Wasserkaraffen on the table ... everything was perfect! Thank you. A real recommendation for bikers and hikers ...!

Very nice place to stop off after a hike. The food was delicious too ... We had Kaiserschmarrn with prunes

Cozy cabin with great views. The salad with feta cheese: 1 tomato, only green salad with mustard dressing and a piece of sheep's cheese for a proud 12.90 €. Cheesecake with melted cream. The view and coziness does not justify that. Too bad.

Very nice time spent there. Very good prices. Recommended for everyone. Friendly staff. Now a little smile of the conditions and it fits everything!

Poor service. We ordered two dishes from the menu and after an hour they brought one just because they told us they had no more ingredients. We ordered the drinks twice and they were never brought. Very poorly attended. I do not recommend it.

Beautiful idyllic location, however, the service that day was the worst thing that ever happened to us. The waiter told us right at the beginning that we would have to wait about 1 hour to be able to order something, as they had little staff and had to serve a group of 25 (in itself nothing extraordinary) Many visitors were back after 45 minutes up and left. We ordered coffee, which also came (after 1 hour and 10 minutes), but without milk, which came another 20 minutes later, we had already drunk the coffee, otherwise it would have been cold. We hope that this was an exception, because if the service continues to be this bad this hut would definitely not be a figurehead for the region ...

If you choose this hut for lunch on a hike, you should check beforehand whether it is open. There was no notice on their homepage, but when we were looking forward to a nice lunch after a 3-hour hike, we stood in front of the sign "Today private company". Very annoying! In the future, you won't feel like planning this hut!
